The LHBE is simply a place where locked bloggers who have informative, photo filled journeys of their lock "process" can be found. Bloggers here have positive, but real stories of their journeys, some from day 1. It is meant to be a central location where many blog stories focusing on locks, be they Traditional, Freeform, Sisterlocks, Braidlocs, Palm Roll, Two-strand Twisted, etc. are easily located. Enjoy the journey stories. Do not copy photos without owner's permission.

msfullroller's braidlocks
Update: My braidlocks have made the amazing transformation from skinny braids into small locs and they've gotten a little length too! :-) On August 23,2013, they reached the 5 year milestone! Big thanks to Maryee for inviting me to the Locked Hair Blog Exchange to share my braidlock journey. For about 8 months, I researched through this blog looking for information and inspiration to lock my hair. Pouring through many Fotki albums and blogs listed here gave me lots of info on the many ways to start and maintain locs. As an avid DIYer, I was determined to put in my own small locs and on August 23, 2008 I my braidlocks were born. Join me as I share my observations on this on this journey back to...me at http://ceraisis.net

Britlocs. Natural Fabulosity
http://www.britlocs.blogspot.com/
Hi I'm Britlocs, born and bred and living life large in Birmingham, England. I am a social entrepreneur and have identified that my life's passion is to educate and empower individuals - especially women. One small step towards my own empowerment was falling in love with my natural hair. I hadn't worn it au natural since I was a child and had clearly deemed it unmanageable and unattractive hence the years of weaves, perms and braids. On the 30th June 2009 I had my microlocs installed.
My blog is a chronicle of my personal journey of hair discovery and growth. It's plain and simple and hopefully my journey will inspire and inform those who are contemplating or comparing. You can walk with me anytime either as a silent partner or an active participant. Either way - welcome. www.britlocs.blogspot.com

My Microloc Madness...

Thanks for letting me share my two cents. I was real skeptical about my hair after seeing that first pic. I was like eeks I'm bald!!!! Well I was told not to worry and I am happy to say that its all good. I have been microloc'd since March 13, 2008. It took 11 hours. I was beat!!! I was sooo happy when it was over for more than one reason. I love everyone's hair and I especially love mine. Thanks again Maryee for making this possible.
Peace and Many Blessings,
Kimani2
